Christmas is still more than 2 months away but big retailers have got down to work promoting Toys and Games for the Holiday season. Search Engines and News Agencies are busy predicting which they think would be the top selling toys during the fourth quarter of 2010. Toys may be for kids – but selling them is serious business.
According to CNN Money Google correctly predicted, well in advance, last year that Zhu Zhu pets would sell like hot cakes during Christmas 2009. This year Google predicts Nerf N-Strike Stampede ECS Blaster, Sing-a-Ma-Jigs, Rare and Vintage Silly Bandz, Iwako Erasers, Balance Bikes, iPhone, Otterbox iPhone cases, and Flip Camcorders would do big business. See the CNN Money article here. Google bases its predictions on Google Insights for Search.
Retailers like Toys R Us and Kmart have released their list of Top 15 Toys for Christmas 2010. Three Toys are common in both these lists – CuponK, Loopz, and Nerf N Strike Stampede ECS Blaster. I am no expert in Toys or shopping trends but I expect these 3 to sell really well
If you’d like to know all the 15 Toys in both these lists please visit the following links :
Associated Press also recently released a list of Holiday Gifts which are expected to sell well.
One interesting development is that due to the ongoing recession in the United States most of the shoppers are expected to look for discounts while purchasing Toys and other gifts during the Holiday Season of 2010.
