One good way to dress up an old desk or chest of drawers without having to do a complete refinishing job on it is to simply exchange some of the aging hardware features with more modern or decorative pieces. Overall the additional of clear crystal drawer knobs on all the drawers of a dresser will end up giving an old antique dresser or desk a notable improvement in it’s look. Crystal has a way of making any item look a little more refined and expensive even though the crystal pulls are quite small and inconsequential to the rest of the piece of furniture. Of course if your item is falling apart or simply not working then you will have to repair it but if the damage is simply neglect or possibly a loose drawer pull you might as well replace it with a crystal drawer pull to make the whole item seem high end and new again.
