White boards are those flat, smooth, and shiny planks we see almost everywhere on campus these days. In fact, a white board can be spotted inside class rooms, lecture halls, libraries, laboratories, and even in football fields, basketball courts, and pool areas. Their versatility and multi-functionality are what makes them so popular to teachers and students alike. They can be used in various purposes to make teaching and learning more fun, interesting, and interactive. Listed below are a few suggestions on how to creatively utilize white boards inside the school:

(1)   A white board can be used by teachers during lectures and discussions. Teachers can make class room lectures and discussions more attention-grabbing and comprehensible by making use of white boards. Multi-colored board markers can be used to highlight different words, numbers, phrases, and ideas. These markers can also be used to illustrate graphs, charts, and diagrams. Additionally, teachers will find that these white boards are a lot easier to use than traditional chalk boards. Writing is made to be more legible due to the smooth surface. However, with the profusion of white boards on campus, schools are discovering that investing on these boards is a lot more cost-efficient than investing in projector screens.

White boards, indeed, have replaced the chalk boards we have all grown accustomed to growing up. This is due to the fact that white boards have provided ingenious solutions to the drawbacks that are inherent in chalk boards. Chalk boards have been known to cause allergic reactions due to the chalk dust that they tend to scatter through the air.  Since white boards require the use of more sanitary board markers, this predicament is eliminated. Thus, more and more teachers and students are choosing white boards to help make teaching and learning more appealing and enjoyable.
