When you have a glut of apples in your garden, it is a shame to let them go to waste when you could bake apple pie or other apple delights, and freeze for future use. Wash and prepare your apples by peeling and coring them, before stewing them. Stewed apples can be used to make apple pie, crumble or various other cakes and sweet delights. The stewed apple can be frozen for later use. Alternatively, make apple chutney or sauce to preserve your apples without having to use up valuable freezer space.
