Fable III
Having sold over 6 million so far in the Fable series the latest installment Fable III has a fine pedigree to live up to and they have not shied away from the challenge. They have removed the biggest bug bear that faces most games of this genre and that is the multi-layer menu system, this was always a centre of frustration as by the time you had found the tool or weapon you needed, your unfortunate on screen hero had met their fate.
They did not improve the menu system they simply got rid of it, now you have a safe area you can teleport to and manage your inventory, ready for the next fight. When you get involved in these skirmishes with the one button combat system you can quickly combine your full range of weaponry to make today a bad day for your opponent.
One thing they did not change however is the off-beat style and humor which is great as this is one of the elements that makes the game so enjoyable as you interact with those around you using the expressions system and dynamic touch feature.
The quest this time is to make the right choices as you progress form revolutionary to King of Albion and then on-wards with the land behind you in your adventures.
