Honda slashed prices up to $5300 across its range

Good news for the admirer of Japanese manufacturer Honda.
Honda Australia has slashed up to $5300 from key models, including Jazz, City, Civic and Accord Euro to boost its sales.
The prices are slashed in an attempt to claw back its lost market share. This Japanese brand has struggled over the past three years with strong competitors and an ageing model line-up.

Senior Director-Linsday Smalley, Honda Australia says – “repositioning is an important factor in Honda’s success locally, and we are trying to improve market share noticeably”. The market has never been more competitive before, but we are happy as the winners, of course, are our customers”, he further adds.
1.8-litre five-door Civic Si hatch range models with heated leather seats have come down by $5,300 with an addition of a new entry-level model from January 1. The Honda Civic Si Car five-door will be available with black cloth trim starting at $29,990 for the manual and $32,290 for the automatic.

Prices of Honda Accord Euro too are decreased by $2,000 and now start at $31,490. Automatic versions of the City have come down to $20,990 (VTi) and $23,490 (VTi-L).
City cars buyers haven’t been left out, with some pricing for the Jazz hatchback and City sedan dropping significantly.
The $1600 price cut applies to automatic and range-topping versions of the Honda Jazz VTi-s in the market with a new label of $23,690. Jazz VTi LE is now for $19,690 after the deduction of $1300.
VFACTS figures released last week demonstrate that Honda Car sale are down 0.5 per cent to the end of October, against a 13 per cent gain for the industry overall. Accord Euro is down by 10.6 per cent this year, City is down 16.9 per cent (even with the August price cuts) and Jazz, despite a stronger month in October, is down 1.3 per cent YTD.

But the fine news is Honda Civic car sale have risen 6.9 per cent YTD from the Thai-built sedan model range.
