This week, Greenpeace main branch in Los Angeles, together with over three hundred volunteers, participated in a fund raising event, right in front of Hollywood Boulevard, in order to support numerous non-governmental organizations that are trying to find a cure for cancer. Among the people that were present, a group that advocated for the wide spread use of wheatgrass juice stood out. They came prepared each with a manual wheatgrass juicer, and of course with wheatgrass. They claim that drinking wheatgrass juice helps in preventing cancer disease or any disease affiliated with cancer, and some even recommend it as alternative therapy for cancer patients. They also said that wheatgrass juice is good for pregnancy, as it contains all the nutrients needed, both for the child and for the mother. Some of them complained that wheatgrass juicers are hard to find in stores and that only a small number of retailers have wheatgrass juicers on their shelves. Scientific studies show that using wheatgrass juicer recipes has many health benefits, as it prevents old age, helps you lose the excess pounds and numerous other benefits, but so far, no one is able to tie cancer treatment to wheatgrass juice, although the same studies indicate a link between cancer prevention and wheatgrass juice. Undeterred, wheatgrass juice lovers hold their ground and strongly recommend that all of us should have a wheatgrass juicer in our kitchen. The fund raising event turned out to be a success, more than a quarter of a million dollars being raised from private donations. Greenpeace declared that they were extremely happy how everything turned out, that this event gives them high hopes for next year, when an AIDS related campaign is scheduled and that they wish to thank everyone who’s supporting the fight against cancer.
