It would be easy if the causes of snoring we’re the result of one issue but in fact there are many factors that lead to snoring. The physical anatomy of an individual’s mouth and sinus passage, the degree of alcohol consumption, allergic reactions, cold symptoms and overall body weight can all play a part in the problem of snoring.

As we begin to fall asleep the muscle groups in our mouths relax. When the soft tissue in our throat relaxes it can restrict our air passage and begin to vibrate. The resulting sound of the tissue vibration is snoring and the narrower the air passage the louder the snoring can grow.

For many of us proper head and neck alignment can provide exceptional relief from snoring. It sounds simple, but most of us who suffer from snoring sleep with our head and neck in an improper position which causes a restricted airflow.
