Promoting your Triond Articles (Part 2)

Welcome to Part 2 of my Promoting your Triond Articles three-part mini series! In Promoting your Triond Articles (Part 1), we mentioned five social bookmarking and networking sites that can help to promote your articles and boost your pageviews. In this instalment, you will learn five more websites that I have tried and tested, and the reviews are out as follows.

1) SheToldMe
I joined SheToldMe a couple of weeks back to promote 100 articles that I had written for Triond. SheToldMe is an Adsense and Chitika revenue sharing site. I was not very impressed with the initial result. Although the website had fast uploading time and easy to navigate, I was not able to track my pageviews from the Google Adsense page, even though I have set up my channels. Anyway, a few weeks later, I saw some statistics to show that my articles are getting some traffic from there when my Top Referring Sites graph at Triond showed SheToldMe as one of the my top referring sites. Even though I was initially impressed with the idea of getting more Adsense revenue, that did not happen even after over a month I have been with them. But I know that I’m still getting traffic to my Triond articles. That’s important! You can read a full review of SheToldMe here.

2) Redgage
Redgage is another social bookmarking and writing site that allows you to earn money. When you submit your links or your articles at Regage, you will earn some money from pageviews. The earnings are minimal, but at least I do see some. However the minimum payout for Redgage is $25 which will go into a Debit card. I have not been paid by them before and thus cannot comment whether they really do pay or not. Nevertheless, it is another site that generates traffic to your Triond articles. You can read a full review of Redgage here.

3) Yahoo! Answers
Yahoo! Answers is a Q&A website which allows its users to ask any questions and any user can reply and answer to those questions. I used to be very active here, but I have slackened. This is what I would recommend to you, based on my experience. Select a your top five articles and look for questions pertaining to them. Once you find one, answer the question to your best knowledge and add your article link to elaborate further. In this way, you will get more people to read your articles. And the good thing is your article link is there forever. I still get a lot of traffic from Yahoo! Answers even though I have not been active for a long time.

4) Squidoo
I started a lens at Squidoo about making money to write at Triond. I took quite a long time to create the lens and linked a few of my articles to it. That must have been two years ago when I created the lens, but till now, I have regular traffic from Squidoo. If time permits, I would love to create more lenses there. At this moment, I only have two.

5) Google Bookmarks
I have also been using Google Bookmarks to bookmark my articles. It is another social bookmarking website and easily accessible if you have a Google account. Like del.icio.us which is owned Yahoo!, Google Bookmarks is a social tool you can use to share bookmarks with other people. I do not have much statistics on the effectiveness of the Google Bookmarks, but I still deem it useful as there is a high chance that your articles will be noticed by Google’s search engine.

Thank you for reading the second installment of Promoting your Triond Articles. I must say that the first two installments refer to strategies that I have tried before. But for the last installment, I intent to try some new social bookmarking sites. If you have any suggestions, do leave a comment. Thank you!
