This will fuel weight gain made worse by the dip in the body’s metabolic rate. This is why many diets don’t work and actually result in WEIGHT GAIN in the longer term.
How can this be avoided? Here are some helpful tips you might want to consider doing
- Be sensible when attempting to improve your eating habits. Make small changes to your diet and aim to lose 1 -2 pounds a week rather than dramatic weight loss.
- Pick a diet you enjoy otherwise you will not stick to it.
- Find healthier ways of cooking the things you like. Denial of our favourite foods only results in cravings for it.
- Choose a weight loss plan that is above the basal metabolic rate. Do not allow your metabolism to slow down.
- Do Resistance based training to increase muscle mass and raise your metabolic rate
- Eat complex carbohydrates in the daytime and proteins at night.
- Avoid sugary foods which stimulate cravings for more and produce mood swings.
- Consider hiring Personal Trainer who advise on appropriate exercise and diet
- Try hypnotherapy to tackle any deep routed issues you may have with overeating
