Being a Canadian I guess I am not overly read on Martin Luther. When it comes to Luther or Luther King I had to ask questions.
Canadians don’t have a public holiday to commemorate the achievements of Martin Luther King Jr. who was assassinated in Memphis, Tennessee on April 4, 1968. MLK was delivered to the higher powers through the bullet of a sniper’s rifle. Again I found myself a little bit ignorant about the African American’s killer so when asking ” Who killed MLK ? ” I had to go do some research.
The answer I found to answer the question ” Who killed Martin Luther King Jr. ? ” , was at first answered with the name of James Earl Ray. Suffice it to say that my search to find out who murdered MLK was but partly answered since I quickly was led to many conspiracy theories about the killing of Luther King. Certainly, some of those corruption of reality theories deserve further research but it wasn’t appropriate to continue down that line of thought at this moment.
My initial ignorance was concentrated on ” Luther or Luther King “.
Initially I thought the American holiday was religious and revolved around Protestantism and more specifically the Lutheran sect which i believe is named after Martin Luther.

Therein, at least for me, came the conflict between Luther or Luther King? .
Martin Luther is a much older historical figure than Martin Luther King Jr.
My Luther or Luther King conflict research brought me back to the age of reformation and religious revolution. It brought me back to the protest movement against the Roman Catholic popes, clergy, and churches of the fifteen and sixteen hundreds. Both the Luther and Luther King figures, i found, were activists who were reforming social systems that they found to be completely out of harmony with the natural distribution of wealth where wealth is not always printed on paper.
So there you have it.
This Canadian was now a little better informed about the North American neighbour that like us rose out of the religious and financial chaos of Europe, Africa, and the other continents.
