Tata Safari-borne passengers had a miraculous escape as their vehicle turned turtle after the vehicle’s tyre burst near Gandhi Setu under Gomtinagar police station area, while it was moving towards Hazratganj from Gomtinagar on Monday.
The police said that four persons were travelling in the vehicle UP 32-DA 7078 when all of sudden there was a tyre burst in the vehicle. Following the tyre burst, the driver lost balance and the vehicle turned turtle after it slid from the bandha slope near the bridge.
The mishap resulted in injuries two persons who were rushed to Ram Manohar Lohiya Hospital, where their condition was said to be out of danger, police sources said.
The two others travelling on the vehicle escaped with minor injuries, officials said. The vehicle he said was owned by Sushil Kumar Singh, son of Late Angad Singh, a resident of Vivek Khand in Gomtinagar area.
