Welsh food is simple, hearty and makes the most of local produce. From succulent lamb farmed on the rocky hillsides to tasty cheese produced from cows grazing in the fertile valleys, Welsh food is on the menu at many restaurants across the whole of Britain.
With St David’s Day, the national holiday of Wales, coming up on March the 1st, why not celebrate it with a special meal?
Start with fresh seafood, such as cockles or mussels. Then a delicious roast leg of lamb followed by a big slice of bara brith for dessert. Later, have a cup of tea and one or two delicately crumbling welshcakes that are ready to melt in your mouth with buttery delight.
