Windows 7 battery problem

I just got an apparently common problem as I read on google searchs of windows 7 haveing battery issues. Have any of you fixed this problem? Another thing is I couldn’t seem to find my asus battery for purchase and the IT guys at Staples weren’t able to find it on their datebase for order. Im not sure if this is a hardware problem though.

I have an Asus n73jq it is about a year old and has been otherwise an amazing machine  Contacted Asus Tech but didn’t get the problem solved.

Laptop battery going dead is always a hardware thing… if it’s about a year old, it should still be under Asus warranty… funny thing is, I have that laptop’s slightly-smaller little brother, the N61Jv.

And don’t listen to BLARNEYSTONES, that’s absolute shit advice (probably because, lol, drunk). It’s a good idea to use a power strip. Not actually a good idea to be plugged directly into the wall. It makes about 0.1% of a difference, though,  in any civilized country with clean power, you pretty much never even need to think about power surges, they’re practically a myth to me. But they sure are convenient and have absolutely zero effect on the power provided to the outlets.
