Altering Your Nose with Rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty was created from the mixture of two Greek words – ‘rhinos’ and ‘plassein’. ‘Rhinos’ means nose and ‘plassein’ brings the meaning of ‘to shape’. When the two words are combined, it means shaping the nose.

This type of surgery is also called a nose job, and generally the Rhinoplasty Cost of surgery is high. In most situations, a nose job involves the changing of the shape of the nose so that it looks better or more attractive to the eye of the owner. Only a specialized surgeon should do a nose job because the procedure is not as simple as an ordinary cosmetic surgery. Many nose jobs are also done together with chin augmentation procedures especially when a patient needs to remove age wrinkles on that particular area.

During a nose job procedure, the patient will receive local or general anesthesia according to its suitability to the patient, the duration and the type of surgery being done. During a closed surgery, the incisions are done on the interior parts of the nose whereas during an open surgery, more incisions are made in between two nostrils and usually there will be scarring left behind. It takes time to eliminate the scars, but if the surgery is done by an experienced surgeon, most often the scars can be hidden successfully that they are barely noticeable.

Apart from closed and open type of surgery, a nose job can be elaborated more into two categories, i.e. the primary and secondary surgery. The primary surgery is a nose job done on a patient for the first time, while a secondary surgery is done when a patient is not satisfied with the result of the first nose job.
