Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, recently announced it will commence operations to Malé, the capital city of the Republic of Maldives. This will become the 67th destination on Etihad’s global network.
The airline will operate a daily return service from its home base in Abu Dhabi to Malé International Airport, operating an Airbus A320 aircraft on this route. The commencement of the services in November 2011 will perfectly coincide with the start of the busy Northern winter period.
