Many people who love writing have a dream:  Writing online for a living.  For many people this may seem like an unrequited dream.  It seems like something that only a very small handful of people are going to be talented and dedicated enough to be able to handle it. It must take an immense natural talents and years of training to be able to write professionally, after all.

That thinking is just wrong.  Does take work? Of course it takes work.  You will need to find ways to improve your writing skills. You need to work at it and get better. But it does not take a Masters degree in English to do this. If you’re you have incredible writing skills the workup is just that much shorter. You’re not going to get rich and roll around in a bed made of money, but making money from writing online is possible for just about anybody with average reading and writing skills.  Even with the hit that content sites took in the recent Google Panda update, these content sites are great place to start your online journey.  Writing for content sites makes you money up front.  Some of the sites offer an upfront payment, those it don’t work off Google AdSense or some other form of residual payment.  These residuals may only be pennies… But they’re pennies that come every month hopefully for a long long time. As you back link and work to gain your articles more visibility those pennies can even turn into nickels and dimes quarters and maybe even 10 or $20 a month per article.  It takes time and it takes effort but it is a good place to start.
