You could have everything from a cool design to an actual piece of artwork or even a team logo or favorite movie design.  Once you have a skin is time to think about getting some sort of protection. A very inexpensive clear plastic overlay for the screen is usually a good idea. This decreases the chances of odd scratching and maybe cut down on nook color glare. After that is time for more serious protection a leather nook cover or hardshell nook cases or nylon cases or perhaps even sleeves to put the Nook inside of provide increased amounts of protection for the transportation of your nook color.
