Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez
Most likely you already know who Chicharito Hernandez is thus why you are reading this article. I don’t think there’s a single person in Mexico or United Kingdom that doesn’t know who he is. That applies even for those that are not soccer fans. There are lots of pictures, videos, news and forums available all over the internet in case you want to read deeper about him. I am just going to go over a few aspects on what has happened on this young boy’s life in the last few years.
The European Dream Starts to Shape Up
He started his career with team Chivas Guadalajara since he was just a young boy at age 9. He played with the team’s infant divisions and afterward with the teen and young men teams. After showing off his talents, he later played with the team’s “filial” or lower division Chivas Coras. He immediately showed that he could be a great player and coaches and team officials promoted him to play with the upper division team. He kept playing at high level and therefore called to the Mexican National Team. First to the under 17 were even though he was part of the World Champions in Peru he didn’t play due to an injury. A couple of years later he was called to the under 20 National team that participated in Canada and yet again he shined like the star he was becoming. This made him worth of being called to the National Team that was getting ready for the 2010 World Cup that was going to be played later in South Africa.
During the friendly match ups played before the World Cup, Chicharito secured a spot in the National team due to his good performances. The coach back in those days was Javier Aguirre and he decided to make him one of his favorite strikers. This also made him noticeable by English team Manchester United who bought him from Chivas Guadalajara. The Red Devils had been following Javier Hernandez for a few months and they decided to make the move for him before the World Cup before he became more expensive to acquire. Everybody was expecting Chicharito’s value to go through the roof since he was supposed to do well in the World Cup, and he did. His best two games were against France and Argentina where he scored a goal on each of the match ups.
Chicharito Has Immediate Impact
As soon as he dressed up with Manchester United’s uniform he showed why he was destined to be the newest star. He scored his first goal on a friendly match up against the MLS stars in the United States. After a few friendly games played in America, ManU and Chicharito went back home where they would play their first official game with Javier in the roster. The Community Shield trophy was going to be disputed between Chelsea and Manchester United where Chicharito once again showed why he was brought over to the team by scoring one goal and giving his team the important trophy.
From here on, even though he hasn’t played all the games as a starter, he has managed to score in several games and contributed with points for his team. Right now Manchester United is still battling for the UEFA Champions League, the local Premiership and the FA Cup. Best wishes for Chicharito and may his ascending career and dreams continuo to become true.
