The idea of getting freelance work is attractive to many people in this day and age.  You have the ability to have a higher degree of control over the type of work you do and, perhaps more importantly, your destiny is your own.   You will either succeed or fail mostly through your own efforts and not be “let go” just becuase the company you work for failed.

The problem is that it is not always easy to find and land freelance work.

The fact of the matter is that there is a lot of competition out there from all of the people who are looking for work.  Your only advantage is to work harder, and produce far higher quality.  You need to separate your self from the herd of other people trying to also find find and land freelance work.  You need to grow authority, connections and networking opportunities.

You need to learn everything about freelance work and find out how to make the most of it.  You need to separate yourself from the pack.

Being a freelancer is not easy.  In fact you may work far harder to get it started than you do working for a comapny.  When you are successful, all the effort is worth it, though.
