Are you tired of celebrities having all the fun: perfect bodies, perfect teeth and perfect complections? Do you roll your eyes every time you see one more ‘beautiful person’ on the cover of the latest ‘it’ magazine, gushing over how fabulous her life is and yet, how she is just an ordinary Josephine, just like you? “Must be nice,”says you and millions of other regular folk going on with their lives. There is something beautiful here: you too, can have a gorgeous body, pristine teeth and a flawless complection. How? By doing a general detox.
What is a general detox?

Detoxing is the ridding of poisonous toxins out of the lungs, liver, kidneys, skin, lymph, or colon. Many people experience problems due to too many toxins in their system. Allergies, bad breath, body odor, prone to sicknesses, bloating and headaches are some of the signs that point to a need for a detox. And contrary to what Hollywood says, you don’t need to travel to the farthest jungle on the planet to rejuvenate your body back into the great shape God meant for you to be in. Here are some reasons to follow general detox tips.
* To rid your body of parasites and poisons.
The foods we eat today are not the fresh, whole foods of our grand and great grandparents time. Pre-packaged meals and preservatives call for the use of chemicals, and chemicals are made in labs, thereby making them poisonous. If you eat poison, poison gets inside of your system doing major damage to your organs. A good detox will cleanse you from inside out, flushing out poisons, and ultimately reviving your body back into youth.
* Fine tune your immune system.
When you have a lot of poisons in your body, this can disrupt a body’s ability to fight off diseases, making it more prone to illness. When a sink is clogged, it makes it hard for water to pass through, thereby causing water to back up. When the body is clogged with too many poisons, the immune system has to constantly try and get the body unclogged, therefore making it too tired to fight off diseases and illnesses. A good detox allows the body to rest by not overloading it with too much to do, so that when the detox is over, the body is back in fighting shape.
* Look good, Feel good.
Detoxing the body is great for losing weight and for binding the hand of pre-mature aging. Losing weight involves involves taking only the best stuff made fresh by God: fruits, vegetables and pure, clean water. These nutrient dense foods will help eliminate any junk left behind by undigested meat, candy, fried snacks and other unhealthy stuff. Stomachs become flatter, energy is boosted and confidence is lifted. The same can be said for the avoiding of pre-mature aging: skin becomes more taut, hair gets more sheen, energy comes back and people will mistake you for being five to 10 years younger than what you really are, which is always great.
Here are some general detox tips:
In the morning, drink a cup of hot water with a slice or two of lemon wedges squeezed for a good hot inner bath for the body. Repeat in the afternoon, and in the evening before bed. Wanna really pump up that weight loss: Drink some hot water with lemon before exercising, lots of distilled water with lemon during exercise, and some more hot water with lemon afterwards. If during hot months, exchange after exercise hot lemon for distilled water mixed with lemon.
After eating a big meal, have the waiter, waitress or room service bring you a cup of hot water with lemon. Great for digestion.
Do this carefully and at your own risk; not dangerous, but, quite fast in working: for bowel blockages, get a cup of prune juice and mix it with your favorite colon cleanse and some lemon juice. Sip gently and be near a restroom.
Do a Daniel fast: in the bible, Daniel and his three fellow Jewish brothers were told to eat off the King of Babylon’s rich and unhealthy table (meats of all sorts, sweets, etc.). Those meats were not kosher, but, if they didn’t do as they were told, the eunuch in charge would be punished. Daniel, after praying to God first, decided to show the King that they could be just as strong by only eating vegetables and drinking water for 10 days. Their bodies were more stronger and their complections were glorious than anyone else’s. Fruits can be added, as well as veggie inspired dishes like found in the grocery stores.
God gave you one body: it is okay to use what He gave to take care of what He gave you and still be gorgeous.
