CBS has three shows which just might be hits this fall. They are certainly different in style and approach. You might want to check out the following:
Unforgettable
Carrie Wells ( Poppy Montgomery ) is a former police detective who has hyperthymesia, a condition that causes total recall. In short, she cannot forget. It’s very rare with only about six people in the country having to put up with never, ever forgetting. It can be a blessing and a curse. This is a cop show and Carrie uses her powers to help solve crimes. There is , of course, a love interest as well. Will the series be unforgettable? Perhaps not, but it should have legs for a season or so.
A Gifted Man
This is a spooky hospital drama about a surgeon who lives for the moment. He has a a life of luxury treating rich patients. All goes well until his ex-wife shows up. The problem is, the ex-wife is dead and has come back to teach the doctor ( Patrick Wilson ) the true meaning of life. The doc has much to think about as does the viewer of this very different drams.
Person Of Interest
This is another crime drama about a supposedly dead government agent who is discovered by a billionaire who wants to use the man’s gifts to prevent crimes from happening. Jim Caviezel plays Reece, who is told to try and figure out what’s going to happen before it happens. It’s got a touch of science fiction with the mysterious billionaire affording all the fancy elements of modern technology–and those car crashes.
