Green spotted pufferfish are really fun to watch in the aquarium. However, they are definitely not a freshwater pufferfish. Instead, green spotted puffers require a brackish environment to live a healthy life. Brackish water cannot be created with aquarium salt, it requires actual marine salt, which can become rather costly when you factor in the necessary large, frequent water changes.
