The Goal of the Game

Like other variations in poker Hold’em is a community card game. It uses a 52-card deck and 5 community cards. These community cars are generally shared by the players in order to form the best 5-card hands. This is basically the objective of the game. You have to produce the best 5 card hands in every round. All in all though, you must make sure that you avoid elimination from the game. You would be able to achieve this only if you avoid losing all of your chips.

How It Is Played

The game begins with a bet that is typically issued by the first player to the left of the dealer. The same player will also pay for the small blind. This refers to one of the two mandatory bets that is required in Hold’em poker. The next player to him would be responsible for paying the big blind. This is the other mandatory bet in Hold em poker and it is usually double the amount of the small blind. The responsibility of the blinds would move clockwise around all the players so each one of them would have a turn in paying it.

Once the blinds are paid, the dealer would now continue on by passing 2 pocket cards to each player facing down. They are private and help form the final poker hand. Then after the first deal, the betting will begin in this first round again beginning with the player to the left of the dealer. Players can exit the game by folding or refusing to bet in the match. After the betting and folding, player will get ready for the flop. This time the first round of community cards which consists of three shared cards is revealed. Players will begin betting and then the 4th community card is revealed. Betting is done again and then the last and 5th community card is exposed in the River. The last round of betting is then done after that. And finally the players would have to reveal their hands. And whoever has the best hand would win the pot.
