Experienced parents will tell you there is a right time to potty train. Pediatricians will tell you there is a right time to potty train. Books and websites will do the same. All will list arbitrary signs that will give you the magical answer to your question of when to potty train. And this magical potty training age is often well beyond the age of 2 years. But are these signs necessary? Is there a magical right age for potty training? Or can you potty train much earlier—as most of the rest of the world does?
