Whether you’ve been using SheToldMe.com  as a resource for back-links and Adsense revenue or have been considering it, the site has made some changes recently that you need t know about.

In June 2011, the owner of SheToldMe.com, James, shut down registration without warning or notice.  On August 15, 2011, he re-opened registration with two major changes:

1. All members, new and existing, are required to pay $12/year for the privilege of posting on the site; and
2. it is mandatory for applicants to explain their “motivation” for wanting to be a member.

Although he did not announce these changes on SheToldMe.com, James sent out  an email to a few individuals and post an explanation on his other website, Best Reviewer.

According to James, the changes were prompted solely because reviewing SheToldMe applications and posts had become too time-consuming.  He wanted more free time to relax and pursue new projects.  The unexpected fee has ruffled a few feathers, however it seems from comments on Best Reviewer, people seem to be more upset with James’ attitude.  For more information and to read quotes from James, you can read my full article, SheToldMe.com Changes Their Registration.
