When it comes time for repairs in the kitchen

You wonder what to do with the old and rattling floor in the kitchen without it to affect your family budget significantly…Do not worry, here we will give you some tips on how to cope with that unpleasant problem.

There are different options to solve the problem-the decision depends on you.

1.    The first thing you can do is to fill the gaps with transparent and thick paste for sealing of jointing wood elements of prefabricated laminating flooring and floating floors. This paste forms a permanent protective screen against the ingress of water in the areas of joints and allows the wet maintenance of the floor surface. The advantages of such pastes are:

-they provide continuous protection against water penetration and moisture between the joints;
-they extend the life of laminate floors;
-they are permanently elastic;
-they are easy to use without special tools or skills;
-they do not pollute easily and dry very quickly;
-they are color-neutral;
-they do not stick but seal-allow the placement or removal of the blades if necessary;
-they are suitable for all wood and laminate flooring with click system.

2. You can rearrange the floor of the kitchen and for sticking you can use special adhesives that have excellent bonding strengths:
-Purpose: retaining flooring on cement and concrete surfaces. They are also used for adhering laminate floor and boards.
-Properties: the close the gaps between different sectors of the floor and prevent moisture, dust and mechanical pollutions; they are fire proof, comfortable and easy to apply.

3. You can replace the parquet in the kitchen with laminate flooring-it is resistant to impacts, chemicals and, to some extent, to water. But you should be careful with water, it does not interfere with the laminate flooring until it penetrates into the joints, i. e. the frequent exposure to liquids is not recommended, but there is no problem to get wet from time to time. Wetting of wood flooring is just unthinkable and there is no impact resistance. Laminate flooring in the kitchen does not need maintenance. But the wooded parquet ages, fades and deforms and that is why it needs maintenance: sanding and polishing. But however, laminate flooring is not waterproof. When it is placed in the kitchen it is desirable to be combined with tiles as there are areas that get wet very often.

4. And why not terracotta?-This material is easy to clean and is a durable option for flooring. In the kitchen the terracotta can be used not only for floors but also for waterproof backs of the kitchen hub. And last but not least, the high heat resistance of the tile makes it suitable for flooring around fireplaces and heaters that are most commonly used in the kitchen.

Whatever decision you make for your kitchen you can be sure that it will get a new look. This will fully compensate the effort to satisfy the whims of your pretentious partner, which will lead to the expression of many emotions and atmosphere full of warmth and comfort.
