This community sits just south of the causeway going towards the north end of Siesta Key. This original neighborhood came up during the 1950s. That early stage of development shows in the low ranch homes throughout the neighborhood. The lot sizes available in this community are also a staple of the 1950s development. The properties in this neighborhood are the type that people covet. That means that when a home comes on the market in this area, there is stiff competition.
Most homes in the San Remo estates have direct access to the water as well as panoramic views of the ocean or the enclosed yacht basin. Older homes in the area start around $500,000 and go upwards. These low lying ranch style homes are the classic Florida home of the 1950s. Many start with 3 or 4 bedrooms and at least two bathrooms. They have at least 1900 square feet or more. Many homes have had a complete renovation within the last ten years or so. Most have an attached garage. Moreover, almost all of these homes sit directly on the water. The location of San Remo Sarasota is unparalleled. Sitting so close to the causeway to Siesta Key, you are only minutes from some of the best beaches on the west coast of Florida. There are boat marinas almost within walking distance. Shopping and restaurants are not a problem either. Red Rock Park is across the street for easy access to recreation and family fun. If you find a home in this area, jump on it quickly or it will be gone.
