Every family should be prepared to leave their house at a moments notice and get to safety. Whether fleeing a forest fire, seeking shelter after an earthquake or getting out of a hurricanes path, there is often no time to prepare. In fact, the goal is to plan ahead. Have everything you need to live for a least 3 days, if not longer, in a survival kit. It is important to include plenty of water in your emergency kit first, then add food, blankets and shelter items. Even those with limited space can store these items in a backpack in the front hall closet, ready to grab and go at a moment’s notice. Be prepared and get a survival kit for your family.
