Get More Business Out Of Your Printed T-Shirts

A good uniform goes a long way in business. Not only does it show the world that you run a well organised, smart company, but it is also a great way of drumming up more business. Printed t-shirts can essentially be a walking advertisement for you if designed effectively, and here are a few tips to ensure you get the most out of your clothing.

Choose The Correct Colours

Colours can have a stronger effect on people than you may think. There are a number of things you might wish to take into consideration when designing your uniforms. Firstly, there is the obvious factor of your company’s existing branding. If your current colour scheme is, for example, blue and black, would you really want a red uniform?

Another thing to consider is the psychological effect that colours can have on people. Obviously the type of business you are designing for will have a say in this. For example, if you were running a competitive business then your colour scheme would probably contain more hard colours like blacks and reds, as opposed to if you were running some sort of therapy clinic, in which case you may go for softer, more relaxing colours like oranges and yellows.

Less Is More

Imagine you’re driving past an advertising hoarding. Do you have time to take in phone numbers, addresses, opening times, and all the other small print? Of course you don’t, so why would someone walking past an employee of yours do this with a fleeting glance?  The key here is to keep it simple and this applies to everything as trivial as the font, to the important stuff – the content. Make sure you have just enough on there to make potential customers want to punch your company name into Google, or search for you in a telephone directory.

An alternative to having the key details is to put a memorable slogan or logo on your uniforms. Of course, the catchier this is, the easier it will be for a potential customer to remember. This obviously all depends on what type of business you run, but another option would be to maybe put something a little more risqué on the uniform. This is obviously down to your discretion, but the more you stand out, the more memorable you become.

Use A Relevant Font

It may seem like a trivial thing, but using the right font can also play a huge part in sending out the correct message for your brand. This is relevant to any type of business, for example can you see a tattoo parlour using the same font to advertise their services as an old folks’ home? Didn’t think so. Not only does this give people an idea about the sort of company you are promoting, but it also goes towards creating that all-important brand image which will stick in peoples’ memories.

It’s entirely down to you how well your t-shirts help promote your company. If you customise them to their potential, then the sky really is the limit.
