I have been looking for some silver jewellery for my daughter as she is starring in a dance competition and I need her to look her best as the costume plays a big part in the entire routine. She is doing a mixture of modern dancing styles giving people and insight into the limitless and diverse talent that she has. However, I thought that it would be best to keep the outfit as simple as possible to not deter away from some other the other dancing styles. By keeping it neutral there will be no biasness towards any of the different styles, so we both decided that silver was the best colour to go with. It was quick and easy getting the outfit sorted as there were many different styles of silver dancing costumes to choose from, however we found it a lot harder trying to source some accessories.
Rather than going for some bulky showy pieces we decided that it would probably be best to edge towards something that is eye catching, but also lightweight and elegant giving that little bit of sophistication and professionalism to the outfit. There is a wide range of silver jewellery available to choose from available in a stunning selection of different styles and designs, which would make it’s easier to find something less generic. We have both agreed that we would like to stay clear from some of the larger necklaces, bracelets and bangles as they may become a restriction and also an irritant when in motion. Earring are a lot more easy to control, especially if they are studs, as they don’t flair around as much as the longer bracelets and necklaces.
Although the silver jewellery that we have been looking at so far is very beautiful, it can also seem slightly plain – especially when combined with a sparkling silver costume. Including a semi-precious stone in the design of the jewellery would not only add a touch of colour to the outfit, but it would also help to bring out some of the finer details in the costume.
Now I have described the outfit, what do you guys think?
