Buying A New Car Trailer

Buying A New Car Trailer

Ever thought of buying a new car trailer? There have been times in my life when the boot (American ‘trunk’) of my car was just too small for all the clobber I wanted to move. I had a number of choices:

  1. Buy a bigger car
  2. Get a roof rack or roof box
  3. Get a towbar and trailer.

All of these cost money but I needed a flexible solution. Buying a bigger car sounded good – but the boot/trunk still wouldn’t be big enough.

Buying a roof rack was my big idea and I did. However, it was still very limited in terms of how much extra capacity it gave me for transporting junk to the tip. Not only that, I once had a scary experience when a piece of board I thought was tied down flew off the top of the car while I was driving! Fortunately no one was behind me!

Getting a tow bar fitted and getting a new car trailer will be my final solution when I get some more money!

I live in Cornwall and have come across a really friendly company called Tyrone Snell Trailers They not only have car trailers, but just about every sort of trailer you can imagine (except film trailers:) ). They also have second-hand trailers. They’ll fit the tow bar and all the electrical stuff. The couple who have recently taken over the company are really friendly.

Buying a new car trailer for me is like buying a new TV – I spend a long time looking at all the models – checking the prices – double checking the models – checking out the retailers (will they give me good service?) and then making my decision.

So will it be an Anssems Trailer, a Brian James, an Indespension or a Tyrone Snell Trailer? Not sure yet, but it will make trips to the dump a lot easier and safer.
