Winter is here and that means cold, snow, ice, and sledding! But you may be asking yourself “What type of snow sled should I buy?” After all, there are many to choose from.
My favorite style is the classic plastic sled with short sides. It is very light, goes pretty fast, and takes a beating. However, I remember growing up and using the big old toboggan which was a blast. If you are looking for a great sled for groups, the toboggan is the answer.
There are lots of foam versions around today which are light and comfortable, and the old favorite disk sled is still trucking along. Which is best for you depends on who will be using it. The best kid’s sled might be one that they can haul up the hill, so light weight is important. For an adult, the best may be something more substantial or wooden.
Whatever form of sled you choose, you are sure to have fun on the sledding hill.
