Organisation will be the key this Christmas

Christmas is fast approaching, now only one month away as we edge into December, and I am determined that this year I am not going to leave it until the last minute and am going to be a little more organised when buying my men’s Christmas gifts. Last year I took a very last minute, rushed approach to Christmas shopping which meant that it was far to hectic for me to get anything done! I thought that I would be able to waltz in and out and come away with something but it was not until I got into the shops when I realised how hard it was. Getting the bigger presents, for example, the ones that they had actually asked for, was not too hard as there was a large stock available with them being popular choices. However, there are always smaller presents which people do not ask for but would like to see at Christmas which were so difficult to find that I ended up giving up to some extent. This year with hindsight, I am going to ensure that I start looking for these men’s Christmas gifts earlier so that no one has to miss out this Christmas.

I think one of the reasons why it takes me so long to finish buying men’s Christmas gifts is because there are so many men to buy for in my Family! Each year I look for presents for my three sons, my brother, my father and my two little nephews, so as you can imagine it is no easy task. The reason we do it like this is because a couple of years ago me and my partner got together and we decided that it would be best if we split it up and looked for presents for specific people; it’s a little more organised when compared to our previous free-for-alls. Aside from this, it might have something to do with the women’s watch that she accidently bought one of our sons one year. It looked fine and he loved it, until one of the girls in his class was wearing the exact same thing when they went back into school the next year. As you can imagine, we did not hear the end of it, so we just decided that the man of the house should be in charge of the men’s Christmas gifts.

This year however it is all changing, I am going to get something that they will not forget and I am giving myself enough time to do it in. Bring on December; this Christmas is going to rock!
