A significant piece of research conducted in 2006 has been the catalyst for a major re-branding programmed.
The research focused in on the major breakthrough companies in the USA over the previous decade – what they found was a startling 88% were the result of exceptional execution of an ordinary idea.
As a Keynote Speaker , ongoing learning is a part of my daily routine and on reflecting on this study; the two words that stuck in my mind were “exceptional execution.” Out of these, I coined the phrase “Exceptionalize” – from that some days later following the “X Factor route” the “E.” was dropped. The new branding was created!
Now my keynotes focus on Xceptionalize your business, your sales, your customer service, your goals and so on. In addition both domain names have been secured with the American and English spelling – Xceptionalize.com!
The first book in the Xceptionalize series has been launched “Xceptionalize – success secrets for students” and the next is on the drawing board – “Xceptionalize your Business.”
The feedback has been excellent – we have moved out of the motivational category and into the Xceptional one! In the speakers market, as indeed in any market; differentiation is key.
As mentioned so often too many groups around the world; not only do you need to create a memorable experience as a speaker; not only do you have to have a compelling authentic story, you need to have edgy, memorable content.
The reality is that people could now leave a Kevin Kelly event with just one word imprinted on their subconscious – Xceptionalize.
As Xceptionalize = exceptional execution; even if people embrace this as a philosophy of living, they will move towards a life less limiting – if an organisation embraces it within their culture; they will dramatically improve their bottom line.
We have moved from creating the word to building a system around it. So now to Xceptionalize your business, you need to focus on three “P’s”
1. Process – Creating a World Class Process
2. People – Tapping into the innate potential of our People, both your internal and external customers.
3. Promoter – Developing the Promoter, the owner, the Culture Creator. The promoter creates a culture; one which empowers or disempowers – thus are integral to the success or otherwise of the business.
