If contemplating getting a pet, the Yorkshire Terrier is a good choice.  These are smaller dogs that do not usually go above 12 pounds.  Most stay around approximately 5-8 pounds.  These dogs are very family oriented and like to be involved in whatever you and the children are doing.  They are very loving and loyal.  They actually make a very good watch dog too considering their size.  They are a special kind of lap dog that loves to cuddle.  They are an absolutely adorable dog breed to consider.
