The need for owning a home over the last few years has become less attractive for people living in the DFW area, as home values have been falling. The answer is simple, but there is so much more you should know about this unincorporated area of Harris, and Montgomery counties. Spring sits just north of Houston, Texas off Interstate 45 North. It is sandwiched between Conroe and Houston and is quite a large area for not being a true city. There is not a mayor of spring, since their is no city hall, and the Spring Police Dept. does not exist either, and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department takes care of this area. Part of the territory is policed by the deputies of Harris County, and precinct four of the Constables office.

Living in Conroe, Texas is like having the best of both worlds, as you are just minutes from one of the best. and largest fresh water lakes in East Texas, and also very close to the city of Spring Texas, which is also known as The Woodlands. It is just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the Houston area, but not so far that you can easily pop into the city for an Astros or Texans game. Conroe apartments are very upscale, as new properties have been built in the last ten years that rival even the Houston Galleria apartments lifestyle. Many offer the same luxuries that a custom built home would include, have resort style community areas that make you think you are in Tulum Mexico, and not near the fourth largest city in the United States.

Living in the city of Tomball, Texas has to be the best move we have ever made, since moving to the Harris County area eighteen years ago. Moving from Los Angeles was quite a culture shock in many ways, and we actually felt like we lived in the suburbs when moving into the Galleria area when first arriving. Yes Houston is the fourth largest city in the United States, but where we lived in California the population was much more condensed and congested. Then after a couple of years, we decided to look for our first home. It took almost a year of looking at house inside the Beltway before venturing out into the far north suburbs.

If you have noticed, the monthly rental fees are going through the roof for apartments in Houston recently then you have most likely been trying to find a new apartment residence for yourself. It will not get any better in the year or so, due to the fact that people have to live somewhere after their homes have been foreclosed on recently. Mortgages for people with bad credit almost do not exist anymore, and their only alternative besides moving in with relatives is to find an apt in the Houston area.
